We have reached the end of another season so this was prize giving week.
On Thursday, the seniors presented the Seniors Tray, for the best eight stablefords of the year, and Kate’s Decanter, for the summer eclectic, to Kevin Strathdee.
On Saturday, the final junior trophy, the Babie Douglas Cup, was won by Harris Burke. The junior Cameron Cup, for the best medal rounds went to Jonah Causey and the most improved junior, winning the Junior Ladder, was Barney Causey.
On Sunday a large field contested the Pat Smith Cup, run alongside a 9 hole stableford. The 9 hole competition was won by Emma McLeod. The Pat Smith Cup was won by Jim O’Hara with 42 points, runner-up was Andy MacEwan with 39 points and taking third place was John Swinden with a best back 9 beating Alex Donald, Ann Rae and Olly Roberts all of whom had 34 points. After all had been rewarded with food and prizes, the Vice-Captain lowered the flag to signify the end of another successful golfing season.
