The Ladies started off the week with the July Medal which was re-scheduled from earlier in the month due to bad weather. Both playing below their handicaps, Fiona McLaren (69 net), claimed 1st place with a Better Inward Half over 2nd placed Sheena Hendrie (69 net). In 3rd place was Margaret Smith (72 net).
The ever popular Thursday Seniors’ Stableford once again generated good competitive scoring with Dougie Burns (20 points) and a Better Inward Half, being declared the winner over Sheena Hendrie (20 pts) and playing to his handicap was 3rd placed Charles Legge (18 pts).
Later in the week the Juniors played their July Medal over 18 holes. The winner, playing well below his handicap, was Luke Dingwall (54 net) and runner-up was Harris Burke (84 net).
The weekend started with the qualifying competition for the Scottish Golf Mixed Championship.This was won by Drew Durrand and partner Teresa Gannon with 36 points, who now wait to see if their score is amongst the top 40 scores from all clubs in Scotland, so qualifying for the Grand Final to be held at Gullane Golf Club in September.
On Sunday the Men contested the August monthly Medal and with a steady score Steve Gannon (67 net) was the winner. In 2nd place was Kevin Strathdee (68 net) and 3rd place was gained by Dougie Burns (71 net).
